Will they activate the Credit line soon as paying the $95 fee? Seems like this place has bad ratings Feedback.

I just got the card last week, they have called 2x and emailed me already. One lady I asked exactly how much my Creditline would be(just to make sure) and was also testing to see if it was a possible Phishing attempt instead of real place. Anyway, When I told her “I can’t pay the Process fee Atm “ She then tells me, “You can requests a higher credit limit soon as processing fee is paid” Seemed like she was trying to say whatever to get me to pay that day. Did you ever by chance get your credit limited raised?

Should I give them a try or go for a different more well known name and card? Thanks

Horrible bank, *** set up by 3rd party collection attorney

when you sue this bank they will ask for dismissal then the courts will compel arbitration with the AAA who has a deal with first premier bank to rule in the banks favor 98% of the time regardless of evidence then they get a judicial judgement against and then a lien . its the epitome of corruptness. you can't win against arbitration against this bank.

So, did YOU SIGN something saying that you agree to arbitration rather than a lawsuit? If you can't answer that question, either way sounds like you didn't bother to read and/or understand the terms.

Had 2 cards with this company, one day they canceled them for me stopping autopayments that they were not authorized to take. I has authorized one payment a month they were taking 3. Then they told me I could only pay off the account through giving them another bank account number.

More Trouble Than It Was Worth acct 4153

I open a credit card account for $700.00 with F P Bank in 12/2017 and closed it in 12/2018, because i could never pay down all the fees. So I transferred my F P Bank card balance to another card that offered a lower APR and closed my account with F P Bank.

After the account was closed, I received a bill for the renewal of the card which made no sense to me. I called F P Bank and they me told my card renewed automatically for another year during the time that i transferred my balance and closed my account. I told them that i was not going to used their credit card and if i kept the account open i would be charge fees until it was time for the card to renew again ????. F P Bank said even if i did not use their credit card because it automatically renewed I still had to pay the $85.00 + fees for their credit card.

If you closed your account and pay the balance due excluding their renewal fee they will continue to charge you for the renewal + fees until its paid.

I paid it off closed the account and lost my payment history with F P bank. Consumer Beware!!!!!

FRAUD USAGE OF MY ACCOUNT ENDING IN 2630

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

YOU KNOW I AM NOT LYING ABOUT THIS INCIDENT. IT HAPPENED AND THEY HAVE THE PHONE CALLS AND DOCUMENTATION THAT I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO CALL AND WAS TOLD BY THE YOUNG PUNK THAT HE WOULD CANCEL.

I GUESS HE TOOK IT UPON HIMSELF TO MAKE A KILLING, ESPECIALLY SINCE I WAS A BLACK WOMAN WHOM HE COULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF, WHICH IS WHAT HE DID. BECAUSE HE LIED AND TOLD ME THAT HE HAD CANCELED THIS LONG BEFORE APRIL 15TH. I CALLED FIRST PREMIER LONG BEFORE THE 15TH BECAUSE I MENTIONED THAT TO MIA AT THE TIME OF CALL FOR THE DISPUTE. I DON'T HAVE $94 TO GIVE AWAY.

THEY KNOW THAT THEY WERE TO CANCEL, BUT SOMEONE GETS A BONUS FOR NOT CAN CANCELING, AND I AM OUT OF $94. I AM NOT A LIAR AND IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT YOU BELIEVE THEM INSTEAD OF ME. I WONDER WHY. THE OLD NUMBER WAS 5178 00** **94 2630.

I WOULD APPRECIATE A LITTLE MORE CONCERN. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Depending on the tone of the voice and speech pattern, people can sometimes tell due to diction. And race is an issue as the country now understands. This was helpful as I was offered a card.

Same thing just happened, first of all they could not give a definite, said a potential. but did not report it outside their company.

Said application came in with similar info, when I asked to speak with security/fraud team, she said they do not take calls. You can't give me a definite of what happened, no fraudulent charges, just application with similar info. Unable to talk with fraud/security team, makes no sense.

I am not sending more personal info to a company that requires my taxes, or W2 and social security card. Filing reports against them

I made a payment and I went on my mobile banking and it said that my payment had been processed I checked my bank account the payment has been taken then they put my first statement out and it said that on two three 2019 there will be an available credit of $287 I go check it on two four 2019 and there's nothing so I called them and they tell me that my account has been suspended yet again because they need to verify my bank account now how can you spend my account and when you're doing that not only did you already take and receive the payment you put down on documentation that you got that payments and that there would be this available credit and then you suspend my account for verification and then tell me that there's nothing you can do other than verifying it how can you take my money and then ask for verification after putting it in documentation that I should be receiving that available credit from that payment

Predatory Lending Practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Jan 30, 2019

I continue to get mail and congratulatory pop-ups when I log into my account that I qualify for an additional card with a higher credit line than my current card. This predatory practice is trying to get those desperate for extra money, for what ever crisis they may be...

Original review Oct 11, 2018
3 years ago I opened a credit card with First Premier Bank in an attempt to rebuild my credit history. There is a 79.00 annual fee and the apr is higher than any other credit card.

I have kept the card and use it responsibly. I have not missed any payments and have established good credit with them. A year ago I called customer service and asked for a credit line increase and was told no because I hadn't been a customer long enough. About 3 months later I received a notice in my consumer portal congratulating me for being such a good customer and letting me know that I am now eligible for an additional card with a 300.00 credit limit, and all the same terms as my current 700.00 card.

I have ignored this, but each time I log in to review my account the congratulations link pops up. Yesterday in the mail I received a letter with a FPB credit card and letter congratulating me on my good credit status and an offer of an additional card with a 1000.00 credit limit, and the same 79.00 annual fee and high apr.
First, paying an apr was necessary because I was in a situation where I needed to rebuild my credit history. The high apr also comes with the territory. However, because I have improved my credit and have a good established credit history it would be a very poor decision to open another card instead of getting a credit limit increase on the card I currently am established with.

Even if I wanted to transfer my credit over to my new card with the higher credit limit would be a very bad decision because of the transfer fees and the fact that I would then be starting over with my credit/ payment history as this would be a new account, and would have a negative affect on my credit score!
Third, if they wanted to offer a credit card with no apr and a higher credit limit because I have established good credit with them, that would make sense. I feel as though they are preying on individuals that have a history of poor credit and trying to get them to make further poor credit decisions. Be aware, getting a second card will NOT improve your score, or your credit history length.

Maintaining one card, making ontime payments, and improving your credit score over time so that you can get a credit card with not annual fee and lower apr is the only thing that make sense. Be responsible, research this company before trying to repair your credit with their credit card!

"established good credit with them," Just because you think you established credit with them doesn't mean it erased your overall bad credit history. That's what this joint and anyone else who would think of offering you credit is looking at.

They don't care if you've made your payments on time to them and yes, they're betting on you to take on more credit with them.

They're selling a feeling to people, not a good product. Some people feel better about themselves and think they're making progress because of a higher credit limit.

Has anyone looked into whether there is a lawsuit against First Premier Bank for predatory lending?
